"Lactic Acid and Citric Acid" Analysis in Biocidal Products

“Lactic Acid and Citric Acid” are used in the disinfection of carcasses in the food industry. The nucleic acid bonds of “Lactic Acid and Citric Acid” used in meat and chicken enterprises are broken down, protein precipitation and pH change make the environment such that microorganisms cannot grow.

Lactic acid and citric acid are applied on the carcass by spraying method. With the application of lactic acid and citric acid, it reduces the amount of S. Typhimurium, salmonella and total live bacteria that can be found in carcasses.

Lactic acid and citric acid are used in the following biocidal product types:

- Product Type 1: Human hygiene
- Product Type 2: Disinfectants and algicides not intended to be applied directly to humans or animals
