Product Type 16: Molluscicides, vermicides and products to control other invertebrates
The product type includes products used for the control of mollusks other than for plant protection purposes. (eg snails/slugs in agriculture, horticulture).
Molluscicides are used in buildings (houses, industrial and public buildings, food and feed preparation as well as storage, veterinary purposes) and outdoors (gardens, roads, open spaces). Molluscumides are formulated as baits (stomach poison in the form of pellets, granules and powders) as well as other formulations for administration such as wettable powders, aqueous solutions/dispersions/suspensions.
Molluscumides that combat molluscs in water systems (marine or freshwater) are covered by product type 11 (Preservatives for liquid cooling and treatment systems) or product type 21 (Anti-fouling products).
