Product Type 10: Construction material preservatives
Wall protectors are used for the control of microbiological and algae attack and for the protection and improvement of masonry or other construction materials other than wood.
The products are used to prevent moss, fungus, lichen and algae attack on building surfaces made of concrete, brick, tile, mortar, lime and other non-wood surfaces.
The same products can also be applied to horizontal surfaces, for example. Tennis courts and terraces made of tiles or paving stones.
Protectors are applied on-site with a brush, sprayer or roller. Most of the products used are actually considered disinfectants, as they are generally used for curative treatment and not preventative.
Some wood preservatives are also approved for use in masonry. With the attack of wood-destroying fungi, both the wood and the wall can be protected to control the fungus.
