Stability Tests
Biocidal products are subjected to stability tests to determine whether they meet the requested conditions and their shelf life. As a result of these tests, biocidal products have to prove that they are stable.
- Accelerated Stability Test
With the accelerated stability test, it is determined how long the biocidal products can remain stable. As long as the appropriate conditions are met, the products can be used safely depending on the test results. This test method is not applied to products that have a risk of deterioration above 30 °C.
- Long Term Stability Test
It is a real-time stability test performed to prove the claimed shelf life of a biocidal product. It is a stability test performed on products that have a risk of deterioration above 30 oC.
- Open Package Stability Test
Apart from accelerated and real-time stability tests, the open package stability test is applied to determine the shelf life of the biocidal product after opening.
