EN 1650

EN 1650

The EN 1650 standard includes the suspension test required to determine the fungicidal/yungicidal activities of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics. In the analysis process of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics, all conditions are taken into account, including contact time, temperature, test organisms and interfering substance.

Samples of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics are tested at 20°C ± 1°C with a contact time of 15 minutes ± 10 seconds. After the contact, the amount of decrease is calculated by counting the live microorganisms. Testing is performed using Candida albicans and Aspergillus brasiliensis (niger).
