Evaluation of Mayacidal Activities
Surface cleaning and disinfection is one of the most important issues in hospitals, dispensaries and veterinary services. Medical areas should be cleaned regularly with effective biocidal products to prevent the growth and transmission of microorganisms.In particular, all imaginable microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses and yeast cause some infections. It is also important to use suitable biocidal products to disinfect an environment or surface.
While biocidal products are licensed, they pass many tests to determine their biological activities. One of these tests is the analysis carried out to determine the Yeasticidal Activities of biocidal products. With an artificial infected medium, yeasticidal activities of biocidal products can be detected.
The yeasticidal activities of biocidal products are evaluated using the following microorganism strains.
- C.albicans ATCC 10231
- Aspergillus brasiliensis ATCC 16404
