Consumers are now more conscious when purchasing cosmetics. It conducts research on the content of cosmetic and personal care products and the harms or benefits of the ingredients used. Cosmetics and personal care products are offered for sale with some claims, both to introduce the product to the consumer and to emphasize its features. Within the scope of the "Turkish Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency Guideline on the Claims of Cosmetic Products Version 5.0", the requirements are stated despite the claims of Not Included.
- The product, which is already prohibited by the Cosmetics Regulation, cannot be stated on the product with the claim that it "does not contain".
- There should not be any ingredient that is claimed not to be found in cosmetic products and any ingredient that will cause that ingredient to be released.
- It is not appropriate to claim that it does not contain an ingredient that should not already be in the cosmetic product.
- No absolute assurance claim or implication can be made regarding ingredients that are not included in the formulation of the cosmetic product.
- Despite the smoke-free claims, manufacturers should have their products analyzed in an accredited laboratory in accordance with the TSE ISO IEC 17025 standard and prove their claims.
