ISO 17516
Within the scope of international standards and regulations, the limits of microorganisms that can be found in cosmetics and personal care products are specified. Mandatory microbiological tests in cosmetics within the framework of regulations and standards:- Total number of aerobic mesophilic microorganisms
- Total number of yeasts and molds
- Detection of specific microorganisms; E. Coli, S. aurues , P. aeruginosa, C. Albicans
In order to determine the microbiological quality in cosmetic products, it can be carried out with the ISO 17516 standard, which is valid for all cosmetic products. Apart from the ISO 17516 standard, many standards listed below can evaluate cosmetic products from a microbiological point of view.
