The water used in the swimming pool or SPA environment must be free from bacteria, protozoa and viruses that have a pathogenic effect on humans. Hygiene is very important in these environments and serious measures should be taken to ensure hygiene. One of the most common processes is the use of disinfectants. The disinfectants used in the pool and SPA must be effective and suitable for use against bacteria, protozoa and viruses.

The disinfectants to be preferred must be tested and analyzed by independent laboratories to prove their effectiveness. Within the framework of the tests carried out on pool water and SPA Disinfectants, the following table includes the microorganisms used, the contact process and the expected decrease.
