TS 3464: Determination of Sodium Hypochlorite

Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) is a strong electrolyzed water solution produced by the electrolysis of sodium chloride. Sodium hypochlorite is widely used to prevent or control the formation of slime and bacteria in water systems used in production areas such as power plants, pulp and paper mills. Tests and analyzes are performed to determine the percent concentration of sodium hypochlorite (concentrated liquid bleach) used as a disinfectant in the water treatment plant and reservoirs.

Sodium Hypochlorite, which is also used in biocidal products, chemical disinfectants and antiseptics used in public and personal areas, is tested within the scope of TS 3464 standard. The TS 3464 standard covers sodium hypochlorite test methods.
